Brighton Beach

The beach and surrounding area play host to thousands of activities, especially in the summer, from sports competitions to simple fun with friends.  Visit the British Airways i360 for a birds eye view of the city from high over the seafront.  For the more adventurous, try The Brighton Zip – the longest zip ride in the south of the UK with a drop zone offering a 24m free-fall experience.

Brighton Pier

The Brighton Marine Palace and Pier, known locally as the Brighton Pier, is 1,722 feet long and is a Grade II listed building.  Open from 10am every day (except Christmas day), the Pier has a variety of food stalls, a restaurant and three bars. There is a funfair which includes a rollercoaster and dodgems and the Super Booster, which carries people 125 feet high over the sea, before dropping at up to 60mph.

The Royal Pavilion

The Royal Pavilion is one of the most distinctive landmarks of Brighton & Hove. With its tea room, museum and exhibits, license for weddings and ceremonies, large dining and exhibition hall, guided tours and general ambience, this is a must see on any visit to Brighton. The Theatre Royal

The North Laines are a shopping zone, north of the main road – North Street.  With shops on your left and right, this area is a cheerful stroll full of little alternative shops and eateries. You can find places for vegans and vegetarians, and many unique shops including antiques, art, architectural recovery, second-hand books, music, retro clothing, musical instruments and new age accessories. Frequented by both locals and tourists, you can also find a theatre and cinema called the Komedia and other entertainment venues. While enjoying the soul of the city, many street performers will accompany you with music, magic and performance.

The Lanes

The Lanes, South of The North Laines are a series of narrow twittens and alleyways jam-packed with unusual boutiques and independent shops. Here you will find many antique jewellery outlets, eccentric chocolate shops, emporiums, arts and antiques.
